Brisbane Or Melbourne To Visit

My bestfriend and i are planning to visit sydney australia in october for 2 5 weeks and we are planning to visit another city either melbourne or brisbane.

Brisbane or melbourne to visit. Melbourne is for shopping the lifestyle and our weather is 5 seasons in a day kind of weather. But if you are spending a good amount of time and plan to trip out and stay in places outside the city then there are plenty of places to go in range of both. We knock em down and replace them with newer less charming but more efficient structures. Its our first time visiting australia so we don t have any idea which city to visit.

Answer 1 of 21. Brisbane has great weather and we are very close to some great beaches gold coast and sunshine coast. Depending what you want to see and your preferences they re both great places to visit. I sincerely hope no one from brisbane takes offence at this as none is intended.

Brisbane is sunny and has all the best theme parks. You can visit goma gallery of modern art queensland museum and science centre or you can see a show t qpac. In terms of affordability i would say brisbane first then melbourne then sydney. I have lived in both sydney and melbourne and it is hard to make generalisations.

Melbourne has an amazing food culture there s not a cuisine you can t get at an incredible standard and probably is the cultural capital. Brisbane is a nice enough city but it really is just a nice city. Brisbane does not tend to hang on to historical buildings for sentimental reasons as is common in sydney and melbourne. Both cities have what you want but melbourne has it on a larger scale and is still a friendly city.

Yeah i could settle down here one day. But i love living here. If you are talking about visiting a city and just the city then the majority would recommend melbourne over brisbane. There are so many great things to do in brisbane.

However if you like beaches and warm weather i would go for sydney or brisbane over melbourne. Not really any different to any other modern city around the world. Unless you want to be real touristy and do the theme parks or the beach i d go melbourne for better things to do as far as clubs casino brisbane casino is just rubbish perhaps get tickets to a show in melbourne they re usually very old and ordinary by the time they reach brisbane the great ocean drive is good in victoria if you want to rent a car brisbane is pretty ordinary and anything worth doing is a fair drive usually opposite ends of bris to get to anything. You would probably have a good time in both cities but melbourne has a lot more to offer a visitor than brisbane.

It s the kind of city you visit and think. Generally brisbane is a pretty safe city crime rates are low here compared to melbourne so if you re out late in the valley you don t have to worry too much about getting back to the train etc.
